My name is Erin Blankenship-Sefczek. I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral Biology at Creighton University's School of Dentistry. In this role, I bring an anthropological perspective to teaching the basic sciences to aspiring dental professionals. As a Faculty Associate with Creighton's Center for Faculty Excellence, I develop and facilitate teaching-related workshops for new and seasoned faculty.

My primary research investigates how sociocultural variation manifested as developmental disruptions influence the morphology of human dentition in past populations. Additionally, I have several national and international collaborative projects which explore the nature of resiliency and survival in past populations. I also serve as Curator of Skeletal Collections for the Mopan-Macal Triangle Archaeological Project which is housed in the Bioarchaeology Research Lab.

As I continue to advance my teaching initiatives and develop my research portfolio at Creighton, I welcome opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration with fellow educators and researchers.
